I Am

I am going through one of the most difficult life experiences one might have...loosing a family member.  My grandmother had been fighting with all her might to beat cancer ever since she was first diagnosed six years ago and with God's grace won the battle the first time. Unfortunately the cancer returned and twice as strong. It has practically spread throughout her body and there is practically no hope. The Doctor has told us that they only give her three to four days max. She has been in excruciating pain and although she has been given very strong pain medications the pain level has always remained the same.
It's ironic how life can change drastically from one moment to the next. We sometimes live our lives thinking that there will always be a tomorrow and go through life rushing trying to accomplish many tasks that we almost never stop and count all the blessings that we have. Why not appreciate every moment we have, every opportunity to be happy and enjoy life with the ones we care for. Life is too short....

A little about me...
I am a student, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and a caring individual. I enjoy helping others in any way I can. I am working towards a double major, Psycology and Sociology. I want to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. I have attended San Jose City College and De Anza College for the past six years off and on...yes, that's a lot of time. Finally I am really close to earning my A.A degree. My mother has suffered from reumathoid arthritis for as long as I can remember. Sadly the pain has become worst in the past few years which has enabled her to work and perform simple tasks as she used to.  I care for my mother very much and that's why I have had to take semesters off in order to help her around. Although at times I become discouraged thinking that at this pace I am never going to finish school I don't regret it, my mother is one of the best things in life that I have and I am grateful that I have had the opportunity to care for her. I am there for her just like she has always been there for not only me but for all the family.

  1. Great goals here! I'm happy you are in our Community of Writers. I noticed that you are behind on your posts, though. Let me know if the blogging is a problem. I don't want your grade to suffer because of this blog, okay? See me if there is any trouble.
